“I’m just obsessed with this idea of taking a leap into a new world without knowing exactly what I’m searching for – kind of like an unexpected journey. Maybe it’s an inward journey. I make a lot of connections with my countless deep dive experiences around the world. The sea can look almost completely black, but the instance you dive in, a whole new world can open up.
I think this is what I’m trying to convey, in a visual way, with my Deep Sea paintings.”
