The art book, Mikael B “Never Tomorrow”, is unique reading, that unveils art whilst, at the same time, getting around the artist behind the brand, Mikael B. The reader is taken on a journey beginning in 1984 – the year in which graffiti arrived in Denmark, moving on to the artist during his budding career in the milieu, his plunge onto the Los Angeles scene 5 years ago, and his subsequent high-flying career.
The studio of an artist is his most private and vulnerable space – this is where works of art, later to become objects for experience at exhibitions and in collections, come into existence. The studio exudes life and creativity, but only a few will get an opportunity to enter this peculiar room and experience the creation of and the process behind the works.
The reader is taken on this journey into the artist’s studio in the heart of Los Angeles.
It is an inspiring story, and the entire book is loaded with references to the realisation of the American Dream – albeit combined with an emphatic approach to life and an ardent desire to give back. This is the reason for the establishment of the Mikael B Foundation that is involved in charity projects all over the world. This aspect is also very well described in the book.
